There’s still time.

COLUMBIA, SC — We know one of the last things on your mind today is the 2020 Census. I get it. You, like so many others, are probably still trying to recover from that train wreck (disguised as a presidential debate) Tuesday night. However, there is one very important task we all need to complete every ten years – the Census. The federal government decides how much funding or grants to give states, counties, and cities by looking at the detailed census data. That means money for updating schools, building new hospitals, repairing broken roads, and maintaining public utilities like water, sewage, and electricity.

It’s Quick and Easy
The 2020 Census takes just a few moments to complete.

It’s Not Too Late
You can still complete the census today.

It’s Safe and Secure
The U.S. Census Bureau keeps your answers safe and confidential.

The census deadline is now Oct. 5th. When we look at the numbers, minority families have been disproportionately under counted, which will undoubtedly lead to years of under-funding for already under-resourced communities. The Census is used to distribute $59.7 billion annually in South Carolina, supporting funding for education, housing, transportation, health, and more.

FILL OUT THE 2020 CENSUS TODAY. BE COUNTED.

If you’ve already filled out the census, Thank you. Consider asking your immediate circles — friends, family, communities of faith — if they have done the same.

We’re counting on you to #becounted in 2020.
